Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. continued his stellar start to the season with a 48-20 win over Tulsa. Penix threw for 400 yards and five touchdowns, solidifying his place in the early Heisman Trophy conversation. The Huskies’ offense was unstoppable, with wide receivers Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillan each surpassing 100 receiving yards. Tulsa’s defense struggled to contain Penix, who consistently connected on deep passes. Washington’s defense also stepped up, forcing three turnovers and sacking Tulsa’s quarterback four times.
